We manufacture all kinds of Standpipes. In both Aluminium (Brigade type) and in steel (Contractors type). To avoid contamination of the water supply, it is essential to prevent any back siphonage via external connections. To achieve this our standpipes are fitted with an approved double check valve to BS6282.

The brigade type standpipe is normally fitted with a 2 1/2" female instantaneous outlet to BS336 and a 2 1/2" inlet with a hydrant round thread BS750.

The Contractors standpipe can be supplied in many variants, for example 1/2", 3/4" or 1" BSP heavy duty galvanized steam tube and various combinations of taps both single and twin, again, the base fitting is usually 2 1/2" London round thread to BS750. Label and name plates can be fitted if required.

Valve boxes and chambers contain their own hidden dangers such as contaminated waste, hyperdermic syringes etc. We manufacture a variety of cleaning scoops ands grabs. Our mechanical gulley scoop is of a robust design and must not be confused with lighter versions on the market.
